- ↑ In a letter dated February 1, 1915 to Mme Scheikevitch (CP 02904; Kolb, XIV, n° 15), Proust explains that since October 1914 he has only been able to get up once "and only at midnight", as he also writes in his letter to Lucien Daudet of [30 or 31 January 1915] (CP 02902; Kolb, XIV, n° 13), but he adds that he does not despair of being able to get up to go and pay a visit to its correspondent. The outing "yesterday" mentioned in this post, which caused Proust to miss Daudet's letter (and potentially the visit?), is therefore a new outing, which must have taken place on the evening of Monday 1st or Tuesday February 2, 1915.
